SHORTBREAD COOKIES

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups almond flour

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  • sprinkles or nuts (optional)

Directions:

-In a medium sized bowl melt butter in 15 second intervals.

-After butter is melted, add flour, syrup, and salt and mix until combined.

-Use your hands to form dough into a log.

-Roll into log and place in plastic wrap for 10-20 minutes in the fridge. Preheat oven to 350 and spray a baking sheet with oil.

-Remove short bread and slice into about 1/3 thick rounds. You can keep them in circles or use a cookie cutter to shape them.

-Bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove and let cool completely. 

-If adding chocolate: Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together and dip half of the cookie in the chocolate add whatever toppings you want. Enjoy!!!
